This exceptional Sicura Breitling wristwatch dates back to 1970 and represents a fascinating chapter in watchmaking history. Sicura, a Swiss company based in Grenchen, acquired the Breitling brand in 1979, eventually rebranding itself as Breitling AG. Watches from this era, including those branded as Sicura Breitling, are highly collectible and prized for their quality and innovation.
We are proud to be only the third owners of this timepiece, which has been carefully preserved and lightly worn over its 65-year life. It features a fully gold-plated case and original adjustable gold-plated bracelet that fits comfortably up to an 8-inch wrist. The dial remains immaculate with clear signings, and the watch operates smoothly on its mechanical movement, serviced around 2018.
This watch is completely original and untouched since leaving the Sicura factory—no polishing or refurbishment has been done to preserve its authentic vintage character. The acrylic crystal shows only a tiny mark, adding to its charm without detracting from its appearance.
While it remains water resistant, this has not been tested. Minor marks consistent with light use are present but do not affect the overall beauty or function of the watch.
