Rare 80+ Year-Old Swiss Timepiece

Presenting the exceptional Bovet Military watch, a true masterpiece from one of the most prestigious Swiss watchmakers. Bovet is renowned for creating ultra-high-end timepieces, placing them among the elite, alongside Richard Mille, Cabestan, and H. Moser & CIE. In fact, Bovet ranks above Rolex in terms of watchmaking excellence, a testament to their unmatched craftsmanship and innovation.

This watch is a precursor to the modern Bovet collection, showcasing the brand's commitment to producing its own components. A new Bovet timepiece today starts at around £40,000, highlighting the caliber of this exceptional watch. With a 32mm case and likely sapphire crystal, it has minor marks on the crystal, typical of a military watch, but retains its original charm. The case, which is a sturdy wooden box, has been carefully preserved by the original owner, and it will be included with the watch.

While there is light wear on the case, it’s expected for a watch of over 80 years old with limited use. This Bovet Military is fully authentic and original, aside from the strap. The watch was serviced a few years ago, and while it’s in perfect working order, it’s recommended to run it for a year to assess its timekeeping, as it may require a service after some time.
